- Post are set at centers of 8' apart on a 6' fence and 6' apart on an 8' fence to ensure utmost durability to your fencing structure. Nominal rough 2x4's are attached to the posts as the runner (or rails), as these will outlast the smooth cut 2x3 pine rails by a number of years.
- Next the fence pickets are attached to the framing rails and the gates are built.
